A volunteer club does not need your data, and this site was built that way on purpose. Here is exactly what happens when you use it.
Last updated September 21, 2026. This policy covers kiwaniscoralsprings.com, run by the Kiwanis Club of Coral Springs, a member club of Kiwanis International. It does not cover the City of Coral Springs, Kiwanis International, or anybody else this site links to.
INTERNAL. This is a working draft written against what the site actually does today. Six items need the board's confirmation before publication, and they are listed in the sidebar. Elevate does not give legal advice: the club's own counsel signs this off.
The site itself collects nothing about you automatically. There is no analytics, no advertising pixel, no third party watching you read. One thing is stored on your device, and it is the cookie choice you make yourself. If you write to us through a form or through the assistant, we get what you typed and nothing else. We do not sell anything about you, because there is nothing to sell and because we would not.
The seat request. If you ask to sit in on a meeting, we get your name and your email address. It goes to the club secretary so somebody can write back and confirm. That is the whole purpose.
The Safety Town alert. If you ask to be told when registration opens, we get your email address. It is used once a year, the week registration opens, and for nothing else. Every message carries a way to come off the list.
The assistant. June is software. Whatever you type into that window is what we receive, and only if you send it. If you ask June something that would need a human, it hands the conversation to an officer by email. Do not type anything sensitive into it: a health detail, a financial detail, a government identification number. June says so itself, and if you do it anyway the club does not keep it.
Writing to us directly. If you email an officer, we have your email. That is how email works.
We do not track you across this site or any other. We do not build a profile of you. We do not buy lists and we do not sell, rent, or trade anything you give us. There is no payment on this site, so we never see a card number. We do not ask for a date of birth, a home address, or a phone number anywhere on this site.
A cookie is a small file a site asks your browser to keep. This site uses one category today, and it is the one that remembers the choice you made in the cookie banner. Without it the banner would ask you again on every page, which is worse for you, not better.
Two more categories exist as switches, both off, both empty today. Analytics would count visits and pages so the board can see whether the site is doing anything. Advertising would let an ad network recognise this browser on other sites. Neither is installed. If either is ever added, it runs only for people who turned that switch on, and it is blocked until then rather than simply unmeasured.
Your choice is stored on your own device and is not sent anywhere. You can change it at any moment: the link sits in the footer of every page. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, every optional category is turned off before you touch anything, and the panel tells you that is what happened.
This matters here more than on most sites, because Safety Town is a program for five and six year olds.
This site is written for adults. We do not knowingly collect anything from a child under thirteen. Registration for Safety Town is not handled here: the City of Coral Springs runs it, and whatever you give the City is covered by the City's own privacy practices, not by this policy. If you believe a child has given us something through this site, write to the secretary and it is deleted.
Photographs of minors are a separate promise, and the club keeps it in both directions: no photograph of a child appears on this site without a signed release from a parent or guardian, and a story runs without a photograph rather than with an unreleased one.
Whatever you send reaches the officers of the club, who are volunteers. Beyond them, three kinds of service touch it in passing: the company that hosts this site, the email service the club uses to receive and answer messages, and, if you go on to become a member, Kiwanis International, because membership is held there and not here. None of them is given your information to use for their own purposes.
We also hand something over when the law requires it. That has not happened, and we would rather say so plainly than pretend the situation cannot arise.
The seat request is kept while somebody is still arranging your visit, and then it goes. The alert list is kept until you come off it, and a list that is a year stale is cleared rather than mailed. Club membership records are a different thing with their own rules, and they are kept as the club and Kiwanis International require.
Write to secretary@kiwaniscoralsprings.org and ask what the club holds about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. You do not need a reason and you do not need to quote a statute. This is a club of neighbours, not a data business, and a request like that is answered by a person.
The site is served over an encrypted connection and the club keeps what it receives to the officers who need it. Nobody can promise that a system is impossible to breach, and a club that told you otherwise would be telling you something it cannot know. What we can promise is that there is very little here to lose, by design.
Links go out to the City of Coral Springs, to Kiwanis International, to a map of the restaurant where we meet, and to the club's Facebook page. Once you follow one of those, you are on their site under their rules. Facebook in particular will know you visited it. This policy stops at the edge of this site.
If this policy changes in a way that matters, the date at the top changes and the cookie banner asks again. A new version does not reach back and quietly apply to what you already decided.
